Being curious, I looked up the title of your blog, Raz Nihyeh. Is there a reason you chose that as your title? I gather that you're a fan of metal, black metal in particular, so I find it interesting you would choose a name relating to a proto-Judeo or proto-Christian text.
Great observation, and your drive to research it’s origin and meaning is exactly what was intended. Yes, you can say I am indeed a metal head, specifically one that listens to a large amount of black metal, but that is not really relevant to my personal studies. I view black metal as an art form, and as such the artists I listen to do indeed share a lot of my same ideas, but then again, it is only music. It is the individual BEHIND the music that really interests me, and the music itself should only be viewed a a sort of catalyst, and nothing more.
On to the meaning. It is my firm believe that one must learn to understand before hastily claiming that they are against something. Too many people these days (especially the younger crowd that listen to black metal, namely these Watain followers) do not truly know a thing about what it is they supposedly “hate.” I approve of ignorance, but find it insulting when it is assumed that we are “brothers or sisters” when they know absolutely NOTHING. As such, I’ve taken it upon me to study several different kinds of religious texts, and it this case, the idea of my title comes from The Dead Sea Scrolls.
I have always maintained an interest in Gnosticism, and certainly regard the text in which the term spawn from as a form of Gnostic scripture. It’s ideas of arcane teachings are extremely influential for me, but that is not to say I find all of these scriptures interesting, or even influential for that matter. I take bits and pieces, and apply them to myself, however, I do not nor will I ever accept or worship the one I consider to be the TRUE Demiurge, be it Yahweh or any of their other forms. This is slightly cliche to say (only because so many these days do not understand it, and abuse it like a diseased whore), but my beliefs follow closely to those within the acosmic and Theistic Satanist realm. I believe in order to truly harm that which you consider the enemy, you must first understand, and that is the main point in what I am attempting to do. I want to learn, not only to bring forth my own gnosis, but also in order to know where to strike, and thus destroy.
Again, great observation Miss Claw, and that is a very impressive question. Please be sure to look into the book if you have a chance as well.

“To be really aware you must be able to know simultaneously what is going on thousands of miles away today, what may have happened centuries ago, what will happen anywhere in the world decades from now, and what is occuring, has occured, or will occur on other planes of existence.
